I'm looking to buy an adapter to use my BMW (2000 323i) steering wheel controls on the Empeg. I've found a few online stores in the UK selling them for like 25 pounds, but then the shipping to the US is as much as the adapter!

Does anyone know of a US based online store carrying them? Or some other way to get one relatively cheaply?

If you point me to those UK ones I will let my Copernic professional loose on the net to find one in the US

How does that sound ?

OK. The interface is model PC9-121. Don't know who makes it.
Here's a couple of links:

Wow, you're right, all the sites that come up with that article are UK based. What's up with that?

I think they're made by autoleads, which is a UK company.

You could try asking cambscar, they may be able to ship them internationally - they are an autoleads dealer.

This is not precisely what you're looking for, but... Peripheral Electronics makes a line of adapter from lots of manufacturers steering wheel buttons to IR. I've never used them, but I did run across the website: http://www.peripheralelectronics.com Let me know how it turns out, if you come up with a solution, I'd seriously consider retrofitting the buttons to my M Coupe.
